Dr. Sami Nogdallah

Born in Sudan, Dr. Sami earned his medical degree from the University of Khartoum before continuing on to complete his orthopedic surgery speciality and get his Medical Doctorate from the Sudan Medical Specialization Board in 2011.
His fellowship in foot and ankle surgery was earned in 2014 when he joined the University of Malaya in Malaysia.
Dr. Sami is the pioneer of foot and ankle surgery in Sudan and the first and current president of the Sudanese foot and ankle surgeon’s association. In 2014, he had established the first-ever specialized foot and ankle surgery unit in Sudan at the Bashaer University hospital.
At their specialized unit, he and his team carried out more than 2000 major foot and ankle surgery procedures.
Dr. Sami has several publications that have been published in national and international journals. He also serves as a reviewer for a number of other journals and is a member of the editorial board of the journal of the Sudanese Orthopedic Surgeon Association SOSA.
In addition to serving as regional faculty for the Egyptian Foot and Ankle Society Congress and the AO Middle East Foot and Ankle Chapter, he is a member of the British and European Foot and Ankle Societies.
Moreover, he was the general secretary of the Sudanese orthopedic surgeons association from 2016 to 2018.
He frequently takes part in local, regional, and global conferences in Ethiopia, Malaysia, Qatar, the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, and Sudan.
Dr. Sami is an assistant professor at Al Neelain University and held the position of the dean of the faculty of physiotherapy from 2019 to 2023.
