Dr. Amr Abdelkader

Dr. Amr Abdelkader is a senior consultant Orthopedic Surgeon hailing from Madrid, Spain where he worked in Clinica Universidad de Navarra. We are happy to announce that he has now joined the DOC Medical Center team.

Dr Amr was born and raised in Cairo where he went on to pursue his higher education at Cairo University. After attaining his masters and PHD degrees in Orthopedic surgery and Traumatology, he spent four months as a visiting scholar at the University of Washington in Seattle. He was also appointed as a lecturer at Cairo University and was promoted as an associate professor there in 2007.

Dr Amr migrated to Qatar in 2004 and first worked at Doha clinic and started ICON medical center with partners in 2013.  He has more than 16 years of experience in Qatar alone as a consultant and over 25+ years as an Orthopedic Surgeon.

His main specialization is Arthroscopy knee and Shoulder with a special Interest in shoulder surgery. He performs all types of open and arthroscopic knee and Shoulder surgery including instability impingement cuff repairs and shoulder replacement surgeries.

If Dr Amr’s experience does not speak for itself, he is also fluent in Arabic, English and Spanish!
